The Ministry of Health has always been one of the strong ministries in any government for obvious reasons, but it became the center of attention after the outbreak of the global pandemic by COVID-19. At that time, the need was seen to reach the entire population using the maximum number of possible routes. It was useless to focus on television (news) or traditional press, since you had to be up to the minute on a problem that worried the population the most.
From Twitter to TikTok, through Telegram
Twitter, a social network in which they have been present since 2010, was one of the first to inform forced marches of measures against COVID-19, phases, vaccination and many other issues that were rapidly spreading among the population. However, it was not the only social network chosen to carry out this wonderful work. For example, they are quite active on Instagram and even opened a TikTok account to bring public service information, mainly coronavirus-related content, to a younger audience.
We can say, without fear of being wrong, that the Ministry of Health has carried out a important effort in the creation and dissemination of digital content through social networks. Currently, they have an official account on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram and YouTube.
Precisely, Telegram it became a powerful tool to report infections, phases or vaccination schedules. Although it may seem like a “minor” tool, the truth is that they have an official channel with almost 240,000 followers. It is currently still used to update data on the pandemic or provide access to materials on the coronavirus.
With Carolina Darias at the helm
Currently, the Ministry of Health has the Minister Carolina Darias that has been able to continue with the good work of its predecessors in regards to social networks. If we look at the figures, on Twitter they have almost 700,000 followers, on Facebook they have 960,000 followers, on Instagram there are 420,000 followers, on Telegram the almost 240,000 followers already mentioned, on TikTok more than 6,000 followers and on YouTube 21,000 subscribers.
For all the reasons mentioned above, we believe that they are fair deserving of the award to the best strategy in Social Networks 2022 in the current edition of the ADSLZone Awards. The National Police, the Civil Guard or the UME (Military Emergency Unit) are other winners of this award in past editions.
They have been there to take care of us and above all to give truthful information. That is why the award for the best strategy in Social Networks goes to the Ministry of Health @sanidadgob. Collect the award @CarolinaDarias Minister of Health CONGRATULATIONS!
