this is the first day of LaLiga that will not be seen on DAZN

LaLiga presents a new scenario that we have never seen before for the next season 22/23 and until 2027. The league competition in our country has its television rights divided between two parties: Movistar and DAZN. Both platforms divide the matches of each day between them, but there are three days of the competition that can only be seen on Movistar. We already know what the first of them will beand in this article we tell you.

Watching football on television this year will require us to pay attention before each matchday to see in advance where the game of our favorite team will be broadcast. The new television cast of LaLiga can be a bit confusingand more if we take into account the exclusive days that Movistar has.

This will be the first exclusive day of Movistar

As we have said above, the distribution of LaLiga matches from next season and until 2027 is already defined. Of the 10 games of each day, 5 matches will be broadcast on the new DAZN LaLiga channel and the other five on the LaLiga channel on Movistar+. One of these 10 matches can also be seen free-to-air, as Gol TV will broadcast this match every matchday, including the exclusive matchdays that Movistar has for itself.

Now, how are these parties chosen? Of the 35 days of the competition, DAZN will have the possibility of choosing matches first in 17 of them, while Movistar will be able to do so in the other 18. This implies, of course, that both Real Madrid and Barcelona cannot be seen on the same platform during the same day of the competitionsince these two teams are the ones that bring more spectators behind.

What remained to be known is how these 3 exclusive days that Movistar has will be distributed. Until now, neither LaLiga nor Movistar have spoken to explain how these days will be decided, so we will have to wait for the LaLiga schedules to appear to clear up any doubts. The first of these days has already been revealed, and it will be none other than the 4th day of the competition.

this is the first day of LaLiga that will not

As you can see in the image that is just above, all the LaLiga matches of this day will be broadcast on Movistar, in addition to the open match that will face Athletic Club against RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. The schedules for the LaLiga matches on said matchday 4 are as follows:

  • RC Celta – Cádiz CF: Friday, September 2 at 9:00 p.m.
  • RCD Mallorca – Girona FC: Saturday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Real Madrid – Real Betis: Saturday, September 3 at 4:15 p.m.
  • Real Sociedad – Atlético de Madrid: Saturday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Sevilla FC – FC Barcelona: Saturday, September 3 at 9:00 p.m.
  • CA Osasuna – Rayo Vallecano: Sunday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Athletic Club – RCD Espanyol de Barcelona: Sunday, September 4 at 4:15 p.m. (also open for Goal)
  • Villarreal CF – Elche CF: Sunday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Valencia CF – Getafe CF: Sunday, September 4 at 9:00 p.m.
  • Real Valladolid CF – UD Almería: Monday, September 5 at 9:00 p.m.

In short, to be able to see this league day (and the other two that are yet to come) we will have to have a contract the LaLiga package that Movistar Plus+ or Orange has. DAZN users will not be able to access football during matchday 4, but they will be able to do so in the normal way in the first three days where the television distribution has been carried out in the way that we have explained a little above.
